JD Sweet, the creator and writer of The Ring Masters, has recently transitioned from a distinguished career as a high school history teacher into the world of writing. With a lifelong passion for science fiction, comics, and pop culture, he embarked on the creative journey behind The Ring Masters.

The concept of The Ring Masters lingered in JD’s mind for years. As he describes, “Teaching, activism, and consulting take time and energy, sometimes leaves little for anything else. However, now is the time to make the time!”

JD noticed a gap in narratives centered around children of color embarking on cosmic adventures—meeting beings from other planets, galaxies, dimensions, and parallel worlds. With The Ring Masters, JD Sweet is dedicated to illuminating such a story, bringing a fresh and exciting adventure to life.
